Description: Standing on a flexible 75cm tall stem, and with a 15cm diameter, these funky sun discs will add a pop of bright orange colour to your home or garden. In bright light or sunlight, the fluorescent pigment within the acrylic will catch the light and even project colour on to pale surfaces if placed against a white house or fence for example. And the colour doesn't stop once the sun goes down, in low light whether that's at dusk and dawn, or when the weather becomes overcast, these laser edge cut discs distributes invisible short wave light to the rim of the discs making them appear illuminated, all without the need for any power whatsoever. A fantastic alternative to solar lighting, particularly if you don't get a lot of sunshine, or want to place something colourful in a dark gloomy corner. These cool disc stakes can also be used along with UV blacklight, they will fluoresce vividly under UV blacklight, so make for great sensory decorative items, or to create funky displays in bars and pubs. How does it work? Made from a special fluorescent acrylic with a laser cut edge, they collect short wave light that we can't see, and transfers the light into a visible long wave light along the laser cut edge, sometimes called " Edge Glow" or " Lit Edge" technology. How do they differ? They AREN'T 'Photoluminescent' (Glow in the dark), they don't need to charge, and they don't need to be in pitch black to see the effect, in fact they look best at dusk and dawn, low light, or cloudy weather.
