Hummer Off Road Weekday AdventureCategory: Driving Availability: Please note this experience is available on weekdays only from Tuesday to Friday, throughout the year. Weather: Driving might be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions which would make driving dangerous (please call the venue if in any doubt). If this happens, you will be rebooked for an alternative date. Duration: Your experience will last for anything up to one hour - including a briefing, instructor demonstration and at least 45 minutes driving time. Numbers On Day: There will just be you and the instructor in the Hummer for the duration of your experience. Spectators: Up to two spectators are welcome and can even rides as passengers with you to gain the best possible view. They can also watch the action from a viewing area and take photos. Refreshments are available on site. Dress Code: We recommend sensible, outdoor clothing suitable for driving. Ground conditions are rough and a strong shoe with ankle protection is therefore advisable. No high heels please! Guidelines: Take the M2 towards Margate until it becomes the A299. After 12 miles or so take the Reculver/Hillborough/Hoath/Chislet slip road. Make a sharp left turn off the slip road, follow the road back over the bridge and turn left at the junction towards Maypole (Heart in Hand Road). After a mile and a half, the site is on your right by the 30mph sign opposite the Maypole Lane turning. Restrictions: Min age 17 and max weight 18 stone. Max height 6'5''. All participants must hold a valid driving licence and produce the original on the day. Must inform us of any medical conditions beforehand please, to ensure your suitability to participate. Other Info: The two particular Humvee's were used by the US Army in the first Gulf War. They were then purchased by a film company and have had many famous bums on the seats! Description: This is a perfect chance to drive a magnificent Hummer off road - where it belongs! Drive either a 6.2 litre V8 military Humvee or a civilian H1 Hummer, fitted with a fearsome 6.5 litre turbo-charged engine. These monsters combine power, width and a low centre of gravity to give them astounding off road capability. After a safety briefing and a demonstration from an instructor, take the wheel of this fantastic vehicle on a specially designed off road track. Enjoy driving over all sorts of varied terrain, through water and even negotiating certain obstacles that standard production 4x4s would struggle with.
