Lotus Elise Thrill At Rockingham RacewayCategory: Driving Availability: Selected Saturday dates throughout the year. Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain or high winds) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Please call the venue if in any doubt. Duration: Expect to be at the circuit for up to an hour and a half, including your briefing and time driving the Lotus Elise. Please arrive up to 25 minutes in advance of your booked time to ensure a prompt start. Numbers On Day: All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis. Briefings are held in groups of up to 30 people. There will be other vehicles on the track at the same time as you. Spectators: Spectators are welcome and there are cafe/clubhouse facilities on site. Please note that animals are not allowed at the circuit, with the exception of guide dogs. Dress Code: Dress comfortably (e.g. jeans and sweatshirt), avoiding nylon clothing and wear trainers or flat-soled shoes. A helmet will be provided. Guidelines: Exit the A14 at junction 7 onto the A43 (Kettering/Corby/Stamford). At the roundabout take the A6003 (Corby/Oakham) and continue over the next two roundabouts (the second has a BP garage) still on A6003, then turn right at the next roundabout towards Corby and follow signs to Rockingham Circuit. Restrictions: Min age 18, max weight 18 stone. Minimum height is 5'0, maximum 6'4''. You must have held a full British or international manual driving licence for at least 12 months which you must bring with you on the day in order to participate. Other Info: The race circuit is MSA approved for quality and safety, was established in 1978 and is a founder member of The Association of Racing Drivers' Schools with all instructors being ARDS qualified. Description: A show-stopping Lotus Elise driving experience awaits you at the Rockingham raceway in Corby, so take the opportunity to show off your driving skills in this modern sporting classic. The knee-trembling acceleration and fantastic handling will make it a joy to drive as you cruise around the Rockingham race track. Familiarise yourself with the twists and turns of the circuit as you do demo laps and understand the correct racing lines and braking points that will ensure you get the very best out of your Lotus Elise driving experience.
