Kids Rally Driving And Adult TasterCategory: Experiences Availability: Weekend dates at least once a month from February to December. Please allow a minimum of six weeks advance booking notice. Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Duration: The experience lasts for up to four hours. The session for juniors includes briefing, tuition, around 20 - 25 mins driving time, a high speed passenger ride and debrief. After the juniors, the adult has five minutes in the RST and a timed lap. Numbers On Day: This experience is for two people, normally a maximum of four groups, with all tuition held on a one to one basis. Spectators: You can bring up to three spectators with you (one must be over 18 and children must be accompanied at all times). The whole track may be seen from the open uncovered spectator area which all guests must stay withiin. No pets are permitted. Dress Code: Dress comfortably and warmly, in trainers rather than heavy boots. The RST is an open-top vehicle and you may get wet and muddy, so wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Guidelines: Northbound, follow A14 westbound or A1 north to Huntingdon and exit junction 14 to A428 (or j13 M11). Follow onto the A1 and turn off onto the B645 Great Staughton. A mile after Hail Weston turning, turn sharp left at the gate into Kidman Farm. Slowly please (15mph) follow the single carriage road to the top of the hill and signs on to the car park (the paddock is in the top right). Restrictions: This experience is for one child (minimum age 10, maximum 17) and one accompanying adult. Minimum height 4'2'', maximum 6'4''. Maximum weight 18 stone. No previous driving experience is required. Other Info: Hot and cold refreshments can be bought and an independent mobile canteen is occasionally on site offering hot food. Description: Especially for 10 to 17 year olds, this is a chance to drive a purpose built Rally Sport Trainer car and to enjoy a thrilling high-speed ride with your instructor. There is also a tricky rally challenge for an accompanying adult. The RST delivers a perfect balance of power and steering control for you to reproduce those sideways slides often seen on TV. Try clutch control, steering and braking techniques before powering your way round the tarmac or off road test stage. You will be marked on overall control and the person with the highest scores will be entered onto the website 'Hall of Fame'. Finish with three hot laps driven by an instructor, a debrief and a certificate presentation, while your adult guest enjoys a five minute rally taster.
