Rally Driving Experience In YorkshireCategory: Driving Availability: At least one date per month (runs selected Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays). Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions which would make driving at speed dangerous. Please call the venue if in any doubt. Duration: Your experience lasts around three hours, including briefings, demonstrations and personal driving time. Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure a prompt start. Numbers On Day: There will be a maximum of five people per car/instructor. Total numbers at the venue will vary. During the driving bit, only you and the instructor will be in the vehicle. Spectators: Spectators (over eight years only please) are welcome for a fee of £15 each (includes lunch and refreshments, payable on the day). Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Covered facilities are available for spectators. Dress Code: Wear flat shoes which are comfortable for driving (chunky boots or trainers aren't recommended). Bring a jacket or coat. Helmets with intercoms will be provided. Guidelines: From the A19 on Teesside, take the A174 to Brotton, via Redcar and Saltburn. In Brotton, follow the brown tourist signs for the golf club, taking the second left at St. Margarets Way. Go through the housing estate and over two speed bumps. The road bears left onto Ings Lane, over another speed bump. Go past the golf club and bear right, down the hill. Restrictions: You need a full, current manual driving licence - bring it with you on the day. Other Info: The venue is a founder member of the British Association of Rally Schools, recognised by the Motor Sports Association (the governing body of motor sport). Description: Experience the fast and furious nature of a rally driving experience at the Chris Birkbeck Rally School in Yorkshire. Rally Driving Thrill In LeicestershireCategory: Driving Availability: Selected Saturdays and the occasional weekday. Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. ice or heavy rain) which would make driving at speed dangerous. You will be called if the experience is cancelled for any reason. Duration: Your experience will last for approximately 40 to 60 minutes, including briefings, demonstration and 10 minutes' driving time. Please arrive 45 minutes in advance of your booked time to ensure a prompt start. Numbers On Day: There will be up to 18 people taking part, split into three groups for the driving activities. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to join you. Children must be closely supervised at all times. Prestwold Hall boasts an American style diner with food, refreshments and a view of some of the action. Dogs are not allowed at the circuit. Dress Code: Wear trousers, a long-sleeved shirt and flat-soled shoes. Any special equipment will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own helmet if you have one (it will be tested by the instructor). Guidelines: Prestwold Hall is east of Loughborough and accessible from the A6 (take the B675) and the M1 motorway (exit at junction 23, take the A512 to Loughborough, the A60 towards Nottingham and then the B676 and B675). Restrictions: Minimum height is 5'0'', maximum 6'3''. Maximum weight is 18 stone. You'll need a full British or international manual driving licence: bring both parts with you on the day to guarantee participation.
